The Zaino project aims to modernize the Zcash infrastructure by transitioning critical components from a legacy C++ implementation to a state-of-the-art Rust framework. This upgrade will enhance the functionality and performance of core Zcash nodes and APIs, promoting decentralization and encouraging widespread stakeholder involvement in the Zcash ecosystem. By adopting contemporary programming practices, Zaino will facilitate faster development cycles and improved user-facing features, ultimately strengthening the Zcash economy.
