A decentralized voting application built using Solidity and deployed on the Celo Blockchain (Sepolia Testnet). This project enables secure, transparent, and tamper-proof voting by storing every vote on-chain. The contract allows the owner to add candidates, while users can vote only once, ensuring fairness and trust through blockchain technology.
Our mission is to make secure and transparent voting accessible to everyone by using decentralized technology. By removing central control and ensuring open verification, the VotingApp promotes fairness, trust, and community-driven decision-making.
We aim to demonstrate how blockchain can improve real-world systems and help people participate in trustworthy digital governance.
Traditional voting systems—both digital and physical—face challenges such as lack of transparency, potential tampering, centralized control, and limited public trust. Many communities, organizations, and small groups do not have access to reliable voting tools that guarantee fairness, verifiability, and security.
There is a need for a simple, accessible, and trustless voting mechanism that eliminates fraud and allows anyone to verify results independently.
VotingApp provides a decentralized alternative by leveraging blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and fairness.
With this smart contract:
Every vote is recorded immutably on the blockchain
Users can vote only once
Results are publicly viewable and verifiable
No centralized authority can alter or manipulate votes
This creates a secure and trust-based voting system for communities, DAOs, events, polls, and small organizations.
