Vale dos Alecrins is a collective property where eight families wish to live in harmony with the ecosystem in which it is located, in the municipality of Rio Pomba, MG. The land makes up one of the most significant areas of Atlantic forest in the region and was explored as a charcoal factory in the 1970s until it was inactive for approximately forty years, a period in which the forest could regenerate naturally. The group hopes to inhabit this space and dedicate itself to he, seeking sustainable life experiences based on regenerative and supportive economies. We are currently focused on establishing the basic infrastructure for the construction of the first houses and the first planting. As part of the AgroforestDAO Journey, it is expected to carry out a project to regenerate a portion of the clearing opened during the coal era, recovering the soil and adapting to the environment influenced by the surrounding forest.
