We've partnered with The Pilgrimage to create maps that visualise and connect pilgrims on their journeys to sacred sites and regenerative projects. Pilgrims can plan journeys, track experiences, earn digital stamps (POAPs), document rituals, and engage with impactful local initiatives.
Simultaneously, the map serves as a crowdfunding platform, initially integrating with OpenCollective, with future exploration of dedicated protocols like Allo.
Numerous projects, networks and apps aim to foster collective action and regenerative networks, each with a different focus and technology. We believe the great challenge of our time is to integrate these diverse initiatives by creating an open ecosystem that seamlessly connects users, projects, apps and data.
In collaboration with other social mapping initiatives, we are exploring open data standards and opensource protocols to enable interoperability, allowing our maps and external projects to share data and users while maintaining control and transparency.
Goals:
Our vision is to build a secure network of real-world verified connections that share data using end-to-end encryption. Where users verify relationships by showing and scanning QR codes or NFC handshakes. The use of personal key pairs enables end-to-end encrypted communication and data sharing only with trusted contacts.
This enables private maps where users can securely share locations, events and offers within their Web of Trust.
