Trivia Q is a Web3 quiz game on Celo Mainnet where players answer questions across African culture, Web3, science and sports to earn $TRIVQ tokens and on-chain NFT badges. The game runs on a round-based prize pool system — players pay a small entry fee in CELO, submit scores on-chain, and top players split the prize pool. Fully integrated with MiniPay for frictionless mobile access across Africa. With 446 questions, daily check-ins, a referral system, and an on-chain leaderboard, Trivia Q is designed to drive daily transactions and onboard new users to Celo through gamification.
Make Web3 fun, accessible and rewarding for everyday Africans — one question at a time.
Over 57% of Africans remain unbanked, yet mobile phone penetration is rapidly growing. Existing Web3 apps on Celo focus on payments and DeFi — but lack engaging entry points that educate users and drive daily on-chain activity. New users have no fun, low-barrier way to learn about Web3, African culture, and earn real value on-chain.
Trivia Q gamifies Web3 onboarding through a quiz game built natively for MiniPay. Players answer 10 questions per session, earn $TRIVQ tokens and NFT badges on-chain, and compete in round-based prize pools funded by entry fees. Every game session generates 2-3 on-chain transactions, directly contributing to Celo's daily transaction growth. The Africa-focused question set (geography, history, culture) makes it culturally relevant to MiniPay's core user base.
Protocol fee model: 5% of each prize pool is collected as protocol revenue (configurable via protocolFeeBps). At scale, transaction volume from daily games generates sustainable on-chain revenue. Secondary revenue from $TRIVQ token utility and future premium question packs.
