Overview

SummitShare is a digital repatriation initiative focused on open accessibility and historical preservation through decentralized digital repositories. We prioritize making cultural history available to everyone by building an open-access platform where artifacts can be contextualized, enriched with missing historical information, and connected to their communities of origin. On December 13, 2024, we launched "The Leading Ladies of Zambia," a groundbreaking virtual exhibit showcasing the lives and artifacts of six inspiring Zambian women, blending heritage and technology.

Our Request

SummitShare 2.0 Development: Expanding the platform to prioritize accessibility and contributions, allowing users to add verified context to artifacts.
Museum & Collection Onboarding: Partnering with institutions to digitize and share collections in an open-access format.
Collaborative Artifact Contextualization: Enabling a community-driven forum where missing historical details can be contributed and discussed.
