StereumLabs is an observability platform for Ethereum node infrastructure. We run all 37 execution layer and consensus layer client combinations on dedicated bare-metal hardware. The platform produces reproducible benchmark data across the full client matrix and feeds an AI layer that lets operators query live monitoring data in natural language.
The project is built by RockLogic GmbH, an Austrian ISO 27001 certified infrastructure company and Lido Curated Set node operator. We received an Ethereum Foundation grant to build the underlying infrastructure.
Public outputs include technical deep dives published openly on our blog, free dashboard access for client development teams and researchers, upstream bug reports filed to client maintainers, and a free tier available to anyone in the ecosystem.
Make Ethereum client behavior measurable across the full client matrix, surface findings publicly, and help operators, client teams, and researchers make decisions backed by reproducible data instead of vendor claims or anecdotal reports.
Ethereum node operators and client teams lack a neutral, reproducible reference for cross-client behavior. Most existing monitoring runs on shared infrastructure with noisy neighbors, covers only a subset of clients, or sits behind paywalls of proprietary platforms.
Three concrete consequences:
Node operators cannot tell whether an anomaly is local or network wide. When a client behaves unexpectedly after an update, operators have no neutral baseline to compare against. Troubleshooting becomes guesswork.
Client development teams ship updates without independent cross EL or cross CL impact data. A change that improves performance with one pairing may regress with another, and the regression often surfaces only after rollout.
Researchers and the broader ecosystem have no public, comparable dataset across the full client matrix. Ad hoc benchmarks are not reproducible, and most public data is incomplete or vendor biased.
The result is a less resilient network, slower incident response, and fewer informed client diversity decisions across the ecosystem.
StereumLabs runs all 37 EL/CL combinations on dedicated bare metal hardware. Each pairing has its own isolated host. No shared resources, no vendor bias, no incomplete coverage. Metrics and logs are retained indefinitely, building a long-term reference dataset that grows with every client release and hardfork.
On top of this dataset we deliver:
The AI layer lets operators query the full dataset in natural language. The commercial features of the platform fund the public infrastructure investment that makes the neutral benchmark dataset possible in the first place.
Hybrid public goods and commercial SaaS. The core observability platform monitors all 37 Ethereum execution and consensus client combinations on dedicated bare-metal hardware. Public outputs (technical deep dives on the blog, free dashboard access for client development teams and researchers, upstream bug reports to client maintainers, free community tier) are funded by commercial features: paid AI chatbot subscriptions and AI alerting for professional node operators and staking protocols. Three deployment models available: SaaS, pull (customer data stays out of our systems), and on-premise.
