Starknode Kit is an open-source infrastructure tool designed to simplify the process of running and maintaining Starknet full nodes and validators. Its mission is to make Starknet participation more accessible, reliable, and secure by eliminating the complex manual configurations typically required to operate blockchain infrastructure.
Built initially in Go, Starknode Kit enables developers and node operators to spin up a complete Starknet node environment—including Ethereum Execution (Geth, Reth) and Consensus (Lighthouse, Prysm) clients—alongside a Juno Starknet full node, with minimal setup.
The project is actively expanding into a Rust-based implementation to support Pathfinder, ensuring multi-client diversity across the network. Beyond node deployment, Starknode Kit is evolving to offer seamless validator setup, real-time monitoring, and testnet/mainnet parity, empowering operators to test, validate, and scale with confidence.
Through this tool, we aim to strengthen Starknet’s decentralization, improve infrastructure reliability, and foster a sustainable, community-driven node ecosystem—one that enables anyone to contribute to the health and resilience of the network.
Running blockchain infrastructure—particularly full nodes—remains a challenge for developers and node operators. Configurations are often complex, resource-heavy, and fragmented across multiple clients. For emerging networks like Starknet, lowering these barriers is crucial for decentralization, reliability, and community participation. Currently, node operators and developers face the following challenges:
High configuration overhead: Multiple clients must be manually configured and synchronized.
Steep learning curve: New contributors and community members often lack the expertise to set up robust infra.
Monitoring gaps: Limited tooling for real-time monitoring and maintenance.
Validator readiness: As Starknet evolves toward a proof-of-stake model, validator-friendly infrastructure is still lacking.
Client fragmentation: Juno (Go-based) and Pathfinder (Rust-based) require separate tooling; multi-client support is not seamless.
Without addressing these issues, decentralization, accessibility, and network resilience are hindered.

Starknode Kit is a community-owned public good focused on improving accessibility and decentralization across the Starknet ecosystem. The project does not operate under a traditional commercial model; instead, it serves as shared infrastructure that enables developers, researchers, and node operators to easily deploy and maintain both L1 (Ethereum) and L2 (Starknet) nodes. Our sustainability approach relies on ecosystem support, grants, and community contributions—ensuring that the tool remains open-source, transparent, and continuously maintained. As adoption grows, we plan to introduce optional support and maintenance services for organizations running large-scale or production validator setups, helping to sustain ongoing development while keeping the core tooling free and open.
