This proposal requests a $30,000 (120000 SCR) grant from Scroll DAO to support the Kenya Scroll Node Founder Program, a 3-month, cohort-based initiative by Web3Clubs, East Africa’s leading Web3 incubator. The program aims to launch 5–10 Scroll-powered projects by integrating local builders & financial institutions into the Scroll ecosystem.
The program will mobilise builders in the region and offer founder mentorship to join the Open Economy. We're building a guided pathway from MVP to real-world deployment.
To architect an end-to-end pipeline that takes talent and founders into the Scroll Open Economy.
Early-stage Web3 startups in Eastern Africa face a critical gap in foundational business knowledge, technical expertise, and market validation—leading to fragmented product development, weak go-to-market execution, and limited investor readiness. Without structured support, these teams struggle to navigate tokenomics, legal frameworks, and decentralized infrastructure like Scroll, often building solutions without clear user demand or sustainable growth strategies.
Over the 3-month project period, we shall operate through three focused phases, with aggressive milestones at each stage:
1.Msingi (Swahili word for Foundation) - Founder Onboarding– Talent + Infrastructure + Partnerships
2.Daraja (Swahili word for Bridge) (Ecosystem Building Phase) – Business Modeling + MVP Validation + GTM
3.Vuka (Swahili word for Cross) Transition Phase – Product Scaling + Initial User Onboarding + Market Integration
