SafeNotes is open-source infrastructure that brings transparency and accountability to DAO operations by annotating SAFE multisig transactions with human-readable context.

Instead of opaque transaction histories, SafeNotes allows DAOs to categorize and describe each transaction (e.g., “Q1 Developer Grants,” “Delegate Compensation”), turning raw data into meaningful public records. Transactions from listed multisig accounts are automatically pulled into the app, and designated admins are given editing access to enrich them with relevant details.

By making onchain activity understandable, SafeNotes empowers communities to audit spending, hold leaders accountable, and improve governance — all while promoting a culture of openness across DAO ecosystems.
