The Reimagining Power project facilitates experiments with web3 technologies in philanthropy and civic engagement. We collaborate with partners to explore more equitable resource distribution and community participation.
We bring together diverse partners to experiment with new models for collaboration and resource sharing in social impact work. Through practical projects, open knowledge sharing, and collaborative design, we aim to help organizations adopt more transparent and equitable practices while documenting our learning journey for the broader sector.
Traditional philanthropic systems often concentrate decision-making power among a small group of stakeholders, limiting community input and perpetuating systemic inequities. These structures can underinvest in marginalized communities and lack transparency in how resources are allocated. Achieving meaningful change requires reimagining how power is shared, resources are mobilized, and value is distributed.
We're exploring practical applications of emerging technologies that can help transfer more power to communities. By documenting our experiments and creating accessible resources, we aim to demonstrate how new approaches to governance and resource allocation can create more equitable systems in philanthropy and civic spaces.
