As father and my three young daughters (age 10, 7 and 4), we are rewriting the story of rural children in Nigeria. Through creativity, compassion, and Web3 innovation, we have already reached thousands of girls with free sanitary pads, clothed orphans, and provided school supplies. We will build a sustainable future with a vocational center that empowers children to rise above poverty with dignity and skills.
Our mission is simple yet very powerful: to empower underprivileged children with dignity, education, and opportunities for a brighter future.
We do not just want to give handouts because we aim to build a self-sustaining model where skills replace dependency and hope replaces despair.
Having been a school principal and an educator, I have witness first hand where my students miss school for lack of sanitary pads. The story is the same in many parts of Nigeria, girls miss between 3 or 5 days of school each month due to lack of sanitary pads, while thousands of children struggle without basic necessities like clothing, school supplies, or food. This cycle of neglect not only impacts their education but it also steals their confidence, dignity, and opportunities from the next generation.
We founded HuRya Empowerment Foundation and have registered it as Non-Profit Organization.
I started by assisting my students since 2012 before joining Web3 in December 2021.
We have since then been able to do the following;
Provided 3,300 girls with sanitary pads.
Supplied 4,500 children with school supplies.
Given 600 orphans clothing and shoes.
Supported schools for the blind with food such as bags of Maize, Rice, Beans, Millet, a 25 litres of Palm Oil and other essentials.
We have planted at least 100 least trees.
Through our NFT art collection, created by my kids, we blend Web3 creativity with real-world impact.
We have land secured and a building plan is ready, our next milestone is laying the foundation of a Vocational Center, ensuring long-term empowerment while giving at least 2,000 more girls Sanitary Pads and ensuring kids get supplies.
Our business model blends charity and sustainability, we raise funds through donations, NFT art created by kids, and farming income, and reinvest them into empowering girls and children through education, sanitary support, and vocational training.
