A decentralized message board built on the Celo blockchain that allows ODTU (Middle East Technical University) community members to share messages, announcements, and thoughts in a transparent and censorship-resistant way.

To create a transparent, decentralized communication platform for the ODTU community that ensures freedom of expression, content ownership, and censorship resistance while fostering open dialogue and information sharing among students, faculty, and staff.

Traditional university message boards and communication platforms are often centralized, subject to censorship, and lack transparency. Students and faculty members need a reliable, decentralized platform where they can freely express their thoughts, share announcements, and communicate without fear of content being removed arbitrarily. Additionally, many existing platforms don't provide true ownership of content or transparent governance.

We are solving this problem by building a decentralized message board on the Celo blockchain that allows ODTU community members to post messages that are stored immutably on-chain. The platform provides censorship resistance, content ownership, and transparency while maintaining the familiar experience of a traditional message board. Using Celo's mobile-first approach and low transaction fees, we make blockchain interaction accessible to the entire university community.
