The project's mission is to leverage decentralized technology to create a more transparent, efficient, and privacy-preserving humanitarian aid system. The current humanitarian aid system for refugees often suffers from several key problems:

NovaAid is a comprehensive digital platform designed to solve these problems by integrating several key technologies:
Zero-Knowledge Identity: It uses the Semaphore Protocol to allow refugees to create a private, decentralized identity. This lets them prove they are a unique, verified person without revealing their raw personal data.
Transparent Payments: It is built on the Celo blockchain, enabling direct, low-cost, and fully transparent fund transfers (using cUSD stablecoin) to verified refugees, which can be audited by anyone.
AI-Driven Assistance: The platform uses AI and machine learning for:
Fraud Detection: Using facial recognition to prevent identity fraud.
Aid Prioritization: A scoring system to help NGOs identify and assist refugees with the most urgent needs first.
