Who We Are
Nature Inspires is a collective of initiatives designed to allow everyone to connect with nature, appreciate its richness, and rejuvenate themselves. Most importantly, these initiatives emphasize learning to be inclusive and sustainable. Our flagship initiative, Chiguru Ecospace, is a certified organic farm and biodiversity education center passionately managed by Srivathsa Govindaraju, a software engineer turned farmer. Nestled in a lush green valley near Bangalore, India, our 13+ acre sanctuary is home to over 300 species of flora and fauna. We promote sustainable and chemical-free farming, native biodiversity, and eco-conscious living.
What We Do
Our initiatives include:
Chiguru Ecospace (Our Farm) - This working farm has a perfectly balanced ecosystem and follows integrated farming principles with a special focus on native plants, forgotten foods, and healing herbs. Regular workshops and farm visits are conducted to spread the knowledge of our dietary and culinary culture, sustainable and inclusive lifestyle, rich biodiversity, and Earth-friendly farming. Chiguru Ecospace also hosts other social events for children with special needs and geriatric and post-natal care.
Sogadu Santhe (Farmers Market) - An extension of Chiguru Ecospace that provides direct access to chemical-free farm produce and value-added products. Sogadu Santhe focuses on bringing fresh, healthy, and nutritious items from our native agrodiversity close to consumers at an affordable cost, along with the necessary knowledge of their usage.
Sanjeevini (Plant Nursery) - A unique nursery that provides access to unconventional plants and planting materials native to our land, sources of food that are mostly forgotten, and healing herbs that help maintain the overall health and wellness of the family. Various earth-friendly gardening inputs such as microbial culture, enriched compost, Bio-fertilizers, Bio-pesticides, and natural soil fertility enhancers are also made available to consumers along with necessary training on chemical-free gardening and plant care. Through Sanjeevini, we aim to convert the terrace gardens at every home into a therapeutic mirco-wellness center.
Suyaana (Experience-based AgriTourism) - Suyaana is an initiative to promote responsible, eco-friendly tourism, creating lasting experiences close to nature at working farms and natural spaces. Visitors are exposed to real-life activities, ensuring an insight into the process of sustainable farming and simple living. This experience will strengthen their bond with nature and help them make informed decisions to make this world a better place to live for everyone.

Biodiversity Loss
Issue: Modern agricultural practices often lead to biodiversity loss, focusing on monoculture crops and chemical pesticides and fertilizers that harm native species.
Soil Degradation
Issue: Conventional farming methods, including the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, degrade soil health, reduce its fertility, and lead to erosion.
Water Pollution and Scarcity
Issue: Chemical runoff from farms contaminates water sources, and inefficient irrigation practices waste precious water resources.
Climate Change
Issue: Agriculture contributes significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, and deforestation for farmland exacerbates climate change.
Loss of Traditional Knowledge
Issue: Modernization and urbanization have led to the loss of traditional regenerative agricultural knowledge and practices, which are often more sustainable and eco-friendly.
Environmental Awareness
Issue: A general lack of awareness and understanding of environmental issues among the public leads to unsustainable lifestyles and practices.
Biodiversity Loss
Solution: Chiguru Ecospace promotes the conservation of native plant and animal species by cultivating over 500 species of flora and fauna. Our integrated farming practices emphasize the importance of biodiversity, teaching participants about the value of preserving native species and their roles in a balanced ecosystem.
Soil Degradation
Solution: We employ sustainable farming techniques such as composting, crop rotation, and bio-fertilizers like Jeevamrutha to enhance soil fertility naturally. Our educational programs teach farmers and visitors how to maintain healthy soil through organic practices, reducing dependency on harmful chemicals.
Water Pollution and Scarcity
Solution: Chiguru Ecospace uses organic farming methods that eliminate the need for chemical inputs, thus preventing water pollution. We also implement efficient water management techniques, such as rainwater harvesting and drip irrigation, to conserve water and ensure its sustainable use.
Climate Change
Solution: Our zero-waste farming practices and cultivating diverse plant species help sequester carbon, mitigating climate change. By educating participants on sustainable farming, we promote practices that reduce carbon footprints and enhance the resilience of agricultural systems to climate change impacts.
Loss of Traditional Knowledge
Solution: Chiguru Ecospace focuses on preserving and promoting traditional farming methods, including cultivating forgotten foods and healing herbs. Through workshops and hands-on experiences, we teach participants about the benefits of traditional agricultural knowledge, ensuring its transmission to future generations.
Environmental Awareness
Solution: Our programs are designed to educate children, young minds, and farmers about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living. By fostering a deep connection with nature through immersive experiences, we aim to cultivate a generation of environmentally conscious individuals committed to protecting the planet.
