In recent months, I have organized monthly meetups in São José dos Campos with the purpose of introducing and deepening knowledge about the Nouns ecosystem and topics related to Web3.
The proposal has always been to create a welcoming, educational, and transformative space where I could empower people to explore the potential of blockchain and Decentralized Finance (DeFi).
During these meetups, I covered topics such as:
💡 How to Participate in the Nouns DAO – a practical guide to engaging in decentralized governance.
🌐 The Future of Web3 – discussions on trends and real opportunities.
🧩 Building with Nouns: Tools and Resources – presentation of platforms and tools for collaboration within the ecosystem.
💰 Introduction to DeFi: How to Get Started – simple steps to enter the world of decentralized finance.
🔐 Creating Your First Crypto Wallet – practical guidance on how to set up and use a digital wallet.
⚡ Mastering the Use of DEX – how to navigate and leverage the potential of decentralized exchanges.
🌱 Nouns and Social Innovation – exploring how the project can generate positive impact and transformation in society.
The main goal of these gatherings was to educate and engage the local community about cryptocurrencies, DAOs, and DeFi, creating a collaborative environment where beginners and experienced individuals could learn, share, and build together.
The values that guided each event were:
🔸 Inclusion, ensuring that anyone could learn about the topic, regardless of their level of knowledge.
🔸 Decentralization of knowledge, so that everyone could become the protagonist of their own journey.
🔸 Creativity and community, encouraging the emergence of self-sustaining networks.
Furthermore, we promoted practical workshops, talks with specialists, and networking opportunities, strengthening the connection among those who believe in the decentralized future.
The problem is the distance and lack of access.
The solution is to create a continuous, decentralized, and high-value experience, where learning about Web3 becomes part of the community's routine—an event that doesn't end, but evolves with every meetup.
Despite the growth of the cryptocurrency, blockchain, and Web3 markets, most people still do not understand how this ecosystem works in practice let alone how to actively participate in it.
In São José dos Campos, this gap is even wider: there is curiosity and interest, but there is a lack of accessible, educational, in-person events that combine theory, practice, and community.
The challenge is to break down this knowledge barrier and create a welcoming and engaging space where anyone even those without prior experience can learn, participate, and connect with the Web3 universe.
To solve this, we propose holding monthly in-person meetups, based on successful previous experiences with the educational model of the Nouns ecosystem, focusing on inclusion, the decentralization of knowledge, and the construction of collaborative communities.
💰 Resource Utilization Plan
The budget will be strategically allocated as follows:
Venue and Infrastructure (40%) → Rental of a suitable, comfortable, and accessible space, ensuring a good in-person experience.
Content Production (20%) → Recording, editing, and distribution of videos to expand the digital reach of the event.
Educational Material (10%) → Printing of guides, handouts, and didactic materials for participants.
The remaining resources will be allocated to promotion and community engagement, ensuring that more people discover and participate in the event.
Proposed Solution: Create a Recurring and Community-Driven Educational Ecosystem
To overcome the challenges of access, engagement, and continuity in Web3 learning, the BRS Method (based on the model of in-person meetups about Nouns and Web3) proposes the creation of a recurring decentralized education program, with monthly meetups in São José dos Campos and, eventually, in other regions of Brazil.
The focus is to transform the event into a continuous movement, sustained by solid values and an active community.
1️⃣ Values Guiding the Solution
💡 Inclusion:
Ensure that anyone regardless of income, age, or prior knowledge has access to the content and opportunities of the Web3 ecosystem.
This includes social tickets, free materials, and online broadcasts to expand reach.
🔐 Decentralization of Knowledge:
Give a voice to all participants, creating a collaborative environment where every person learns and also teaches.
Decisions and topics for upcoming meetups can be voted on by the community itself (DAO model).
🔥 Recurrence and Continuity:
Instead of an isolated event, the BRS Method transforms into a continuous learning cycle, with monthly modules and evolving topics going from basic to advanced.
This keeps the audience engaged and creates a loyal community that grows together with each edition.
💎 Social Impact and Training of Local Leaders:
Identify engaged participants and empower them to become knowledge multipliers, organizing new events in other cities and communities.
2️⃣ How Resources and Actions Sustain the Solution
Recurring Infrastructure: Form partnerships with local spaces (coworking spaces, innovation hubs, schools) to reduce costs and maintain a fixed base for meetups.
Continuous Content: Record, edit, and distribute the meetups, creating an open knowledge library that fuels learning even outside of the events.
Digital Educational Material: Migrate part of the content to an educational NFT format, registering achievements and certificates on the blockchain.
Constant Engagement: Use WhatsApp, Discord, and Telegram groups to keep the community connected between meetups.
3️⃣ Expected Outcome
With this structure, the BRS Method becomes more than an event it turns into a living ecosystem where people from different realities learn, teach, and prosper together.
decentralized educational ecosystem with recurrence and community purpose.
