mev-commit is credible commitment infrastructure for Ethereum, built and operated by Primev. It enables proposers, builders, searchers, and apps to make and verify cryptoeconomic commitments — most notably preconfirmations and MEV mitigation. Validators (proposers) opt in to delivering commitments via the mev-commit coordinator network and bid pool; builders compete to honor those commitments; users get faster, more reliable, and more private transaction landing on Ethereum mainnet. The protocol is fully open source and live on Ethereum mainnet, and it is being stewarded by an independent foundation. Today it powers Fast Protocol, a consumer-facing dapp showcasing preconf-powered UX with 60k+ followers on X and ~500 DAUs. We are the only organization actively championing preconfirmations on Ethereum.

Ethereum's pre-consensus pipeline is opaque, increasingly centralized, and produces a poor user experience: transactions can be reordered, censored, or front-run; UX is slow because users have no way to get a credible commitment that their transaction will land or be included a particular way; and the value generated at the pre-consensus layer accrues to a small number of integrated builder/relay operators rather than to validators, applications, and users. There is no neutral, open infrastructure layer for making and verifying credible commitments across proposers, builders, searchers, and apps on Ethereum mainnet. Without one, MEV mitigation, preconfirmations, and pre-trade privacy remain stuck as research rather than usable user-facing guarantees.
mev-commit is a permissionless credible-commitment layer for Ethereum. Validators opt in, builders and searchers compete in a public bid pool, and any application can rely on cryptoeconomic guarantees about how its transactions will be included. This unlocks preconfirmations, MEV mitigation, and — in our active roadmap with Shutter and the LUCID team — Ethereum's first encrypted mempool with same-slot decryption, giving users end-to-end privacy and censorship-resistance on mainnet. The whole stack is built fully in the open, is open source, runs on Ethereum mainnet today, and is being handed to an independent foundation so the infrastructure is owned by the ecosystem rather than by any single company.
