I am a biology student focused on bridge the gap between the scientific community and other knowledge domains, with a particular emphasis on Spanish and Portuguese speakers.
Emerging blockchain technology offers significant opportunities to address current scientific challenges and foster innovative solutions. However, the scientific community often faces barriers to adopting new technologies, resulting in a slower transition. This is where the blockchain community has the potential to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how science engages with society at large. For those interested in contributing to this movement, understanding the historical development of scientific research and the foundational concepts of the areas involved is crucial. My aim is to help close the existing gap by sharing this information and providing tools that showcase the applications of blockchain in science, thus onboarding the scientific community to the growing DeSci movement.
I seek to create a collaborative environment where scientists and experts from other fields can exchange ideas, discuss interdisciplinary topics, and develop solutions through debate. I also aim to share insights and knowledge gained from my studies, as well as the two key projects I am working on.
The first project involves microbiological and molecular analysis of bacteria in fish to identify the organisms responsible for the health crisis caused by river and reservoir contamination in my region. This has led to significant fish mortality. The second project focuses on the storage and analysis of biodata using blockchain technology, seeking to develop new solutions and strategies to efficiently manage the complexity and interconnectedness of scientific data.
I have been advocating for the participation of individuals from various disciplines in scientific endeavors, ensuring they understand the fundamental principles necessary to direct their projects towards issues impacting the scientific community. With the support I receive, I aim to organize workshops, encourage the exchange of ideas on problems and solutions, and promote the iterative development of initiatives to ensure a rigorous scientific approach, focusing on biodata analysis and accessibility.
I am also deeply committed to my studies in biology, both in the field and in the laboratory. My goal is to advance molecular and microbiological analysis of fish to address the bacterial contamination crisis affecting rivers and reservoirs. I plan to share the progress of my research through social media, including blogs, videos, publications, and articles, and I also intend to engage with the scientific community and the general public to increase awareness and foster collaboration.
Collaborating with Nación Bankless I have written about the fundamental aspects of science and how it relates to DeSci.
I have also emphasized the importance of returning to the basic and foundational aspects of our humanity and focusing on them as we build our community.
Also I am collaborating with DeSci Latam and recently hosted a space in Portuguese discussing the opening up of science and the opportunities that Gitcoin offers.

"The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane."
