We have plans to integrate new artists and collectors into the burgeoning digital art scene on Sei, enhancing both cultural enrichment and economic opportunity for artists and collectors alike.
Founded on Sei at the start of 2024, KorpDogs aims to bridge the gap between in-real-life (IRL) experiences and web3. We've kicked off with our community-driven project "Hands of Korp," which we launched as a free mint and we're currently gearing up to unveil our principal collection, the KorpDogs.
Over the past four years Korp and Joff have already onboarded new artists into utilising NFT technology and are committed to continue this going forwards. Funding through the Sei Creator Fund will enable us to implement our plans at an accelerated rate.
The core KorpDogs team comprises of:
A full-time UK artist known for his distinctive style across both digital and physical work, Korp employs multi-layered stencil techniques and marker pens to create utterly contemporary and frequently iconographic images. Lately Korp is better recognised for his marker work which consists of an army of mutated worms.
Korp was an early member of the global art movement known as Free Art Friday and in 2012 he featured on the BBC Culture Show alongside Fin DAC and My Dog Sighs. More recently you will find him painting at some of the many live street art festivals throughout Europe.
In March 2020, sparked by the global Coronavirus pandemic Korp founded the online Korp Academy to teach people how easy it is to doodle. This creative experiment immediately took off and is now a thriving group of students of all ages and abilities.
In keeping with his street art background, Korp also brings live street art, graffiti and murals into the public realm, showcasing the work of not only Korp but also other artists from across the UK.
Joff has over a decade of experience organising meetups, workshops, and award-winning festivals in the UK. He's a strong advocate for digital communities and events. He discovered digital art in 2020 and has been rooted into the NFT community ever since, working as a moderator for multiple projects including Nifty Gateway and NFTUK.
More recently Joff has collaborated with the artist Metageist to organise “Upon This Block”, a digital arts exhibition in the UK which in February 2024 showcased the first ever NFT exhibition in the city of Peterborough’s 900-year-old cathedral.
