A MiniPay-native "Learn-to-Earn" dApp that rewards users in cUSD for mastering financial literacy concepts. We utilize Celo's Fee Abstraction to enable a seamless, gasless onboarding experience for users in emerging markets.
Our mission is to onboard the next million users to the Celo ecosystem by transforming "speculative airdrops" into "earned wages." We believe that financial literacy is a valuable asset, and users should be paid for the time they invest in understanding the tools of economic prosperity.
We are solving two massive friction points for Web3 adoption in the Global South (specifically Nigeria and Kenya):
The "Gas Fee Wall": New users cannot interact with dApps because they do not hold the native token (CELO) required for gas fees. This creates a "broken" first-time experience.
The "Gambling" Stigma: Many potential users in our region avoid crypto because it is perceived as high-risk speculation or "gambling," which conflicts with local cultural and religious values.
IlmQuest combines gamified education with Celo’s technical strengths to remove these barriers:
Fee Currency Abstraction: We leverage Celo’s unique ability to pay gas fees using stablecoins (cUSD). This means a user with zero CELO can still play and transact, as their rewards cover their gas.
Ethical "Ju'alah" Model: We utilize the "Ju'alah" (Reward for Service) framework. Users are not betting; they are being paid a wage for the "labor" of learning. This makes crypto adoption ethical and risk-free.
Sybil-Resistant Oracle: We use EIP-712 signatures to verify that "Proof of Education" actually occurred off-chain before releasing funds on-chain.
B2B Sponsorship & Service Fees. Protocols (like Uniswap, Mento, or Celo Foundation) fund "Quest Vaults" to educate users about their specific products. We charge a small percentage fee (e.g., 5%) on the sponsorship deposit to maintain the platform, while the rest goes directly to users as "Learn-to-Earn" rewards.
