GrantsScope is pioneering the intersection of data science and AI to empower donors in the web3 public goods funding (PGF).
Our mission? To revolutionize how donors identify and support grantees during PGF rounds.
GrantsScope harnesses the power of data analytics, machine learning, and advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to enhance project visibility and democratize access to funding. Our experiments are designed to assist donors during quadratic funding rounds on Gitcoin Grants by

Mission
The Moonshot
Decentralized communities at times have the same information silos as centralized orgs, not as a result of access but the difficulty of discovery. Persistent information asymmetry leads to long-term damage in building a sustainable culture.

The lessons learnt from this project can be used to solve the larger problems in discovering actionable content in decentralized communities, such as contributor onboarding and analysis paralysis in governance.

In large PGF rounds, where hundreds of grantees vie for attention, the brightest spotlight often falls on those with the strongest marketing. This imbalance creates a cycle where deserving projects may go unnoticed, leading to an uneven distribution of resources and opportunities.

August 2024: The GG21 version will combine previously experimented features using LLMs and clustering algorithms to offer one-click grantee recommendations to donors. Visit the app at https://grantsscope.streamlit.app/ on or after August 8th.

December 2023: Code-created NFT art to illustrate power of PGF. The art uses a logarithmic scale for brightness to highlight even lesser-known projects, symbolizing their potential to become significant over time.

August 2023: A ChatGPT-like experience (with conversational memory) to explore 80+ grantees in the Climate Round of GG18, with new feature for capturing user feedback. The app can be used to write a Twitter thread for your project, interact in language of your choice, seek clarification for a grantee’s work, and explore projects by topics of your interest.

June 2023: Focused on the grantees in the inaugural Gitcoin Citizens Round, you can use the app to inquire about the round, a grantee’s impact, or search for projects on a topic you care about.
