The Giveth House is a living community hub located in Barcelona, designed to support the Web3 and public goods ecosystem. Since 2017, it has provided a home, office, and event space for contributors, builders, and changemakers in the Optimism Collective and beyond. From hosting the RetroPGF team during ETHBarcelona to serving as a co-working venue and idea lab for innovators like MetaCartel and Hermez, the Giveth House plays a pivotal role in catalyzing collaboration, creativity, and community.
We’re on a mission to sustain and evolve the Giveth House as a regenerative physical node for Web3 public goods—offering a space that supports collaboration, experimentation, and solidarity among builders focused on creating a freer, more equitable internet.
In Web3, building public goods often lacks institutional support, financial stability, and dedicated physical spaces. Contributors who work on the digital frontier of decentralization and regeneration struggle to find environments that are affordable, collaborative, and aligned with their values—especially in major cities like Barcelona. This gap limits the potential for innovation, cross-project synergy, and deep community building in the ecosystem.
Giveth House addresses this by offering an inclusive, donation-based physical space for builders in the blockchain4good ecosystem. It serves as a venue for coworking, collaboration, housing, and public goods-focused events. With its Solar Punk ethos and community-first model, the House is a launchpad for ideas, a refuge for creators, and a platform for IRL alignment among Web3 changemakers—especially those aligned with the Optimism Collective.
