We are building Ethereum Localization Service -- a decentralized network of AI translations and human attestors, aiming to solve the localisation problem of web3 communities.
ELS is one of the projects in inaugural cohort of the Ethereum Attestation Service (EAS) Fellowship (see: https://x.com/eas_eth/status/1770942617280540708).
Problem we are tackling:
Basically to bring ETH to next billion users, we'll need to translate both the software and content into different languages for everyone in the globe, and here we're to do so.
Obviously, we cant do that ourselves so we're building an incentive network to reward the best
translation from human / AI agent -- attested by the community, with EAS FTW😎!

Communities are passionate to translate educational content into their native languages, while they're often lack the right tools to do so. Latest AI is here to help, but it's not evenly distributed and subject to bias of Big Techs.
As we also see in Optimism or Gitcoin, significant RetroPGF funding is issued to localisation projects where distribution among contributors is challenging. However there are still numerous frictions in the translation process, and the quality of translation is not guaranteed.
Our Solution:
We believe the quality of translation should be determined by the end-users of the content, and everyone can contribute to the translation process. Given an interoperable format on translation context and pair, it is possible to score and rank each translation and the end-users can be rewarded for the translations.
We will build on top of Gitcoin grant stack for crowdfunding & reward distribution, and we'd also like to issue POAP NFT, hypercert to engage the communities.
Early Stage of our product focus on
Target impact by Jun 2024:
We're an experienced team of 10yr+ engineering experience in startups/ consultancy and worked 5yr+ in translating technical content for clients like Mozilla, Jsconf.
Our codebase is open source, currently under active development at https://github.com/0xl10n/ethereum-l10n-service
