ETH Ecuador Series is a community-led Ethereum meetup program designed to move participants from onboarding to ownership by pairing foundational education with hands-on builder workshops and advanced tracks in applied privacy and zero-knowledge tooling. The initiative decentralizes ecosystem growth by training local leadership squads to run autonomous, high-quality events while strengthening partnerships with universities and adjacent tech communities to expand the regional developer pipeline and accelerate real-world Ethereum adoption.

Our mission is to empower diverse local leaders—developers, students, lawyers, creatives, and entrepreneurs—to use Ethereum as a trusted digital settlement layer for innovation, governance, and social good across Ecuador.
Ecuador’s Ethereum and Web3 ecosystem is at a critical inflection point. While interest has grown rapidly, the community remains fragmented, centralized, and unevenly developed across regions. Developer talent is concentrated in the Sierra (Quito and Cuenca), while commercial and entrepreneurial activity is centered on the Coast (Guayaquil), limiting collaboration and real-world execution.
Despite having rare legal clarity for blockchain adoption—such as the legal recognition of smart contracts and on-chain corporate records—the ecosystem lacks the local leadership, continuity, and coordination required to translate this advantage into sustained impact. Most initiatives depend on a small central group, creating a single point of failure and preventing long-term, autonomous growth.
Additionally, many community members remain stuck at the “crypto-curious” stage, with insufficient pathways to move from onboarding into active contribution, ownership, and leadership within Ethereum.
