A project to insulate our community workshop and hostel in the Kharkiv region. This will transform a seasonal space into a year-round center for psycho-emotional recovery, education, and craft workshops for children, IDPs, and local communities affected by the war.
To create a resilient, year-round community hub in the frontline Kharkiv region that provides psychosocial support, educational programs, and a safe space for creativity and connection for children, volunteers, and displaced families affected by the war.
Since 2023, we have built a fully equipped workshop and hostel. However, it only operates in warm months due to a lack of insulation and a stable heating system. In a frontline region with a protracted war, there is a critical, year-round need for a safe, warm space where people can find psychological peace, learn, connect, and recover. Currently, this support stops when the cold weather begins.
We will insulate the workshop and hostel and install a stable heating system. The construction work will be done by our community and volunteers; funds are needed only for materials. This will enable us to host 20+ events annually, serve 500+ participants, and keep the hostel active for 180+ days a year, providing uninterrupted support regardless of the season.
We operate as a hybrid social enterprise. Our core mission is social impact, which we support through: Grants & Donations: Funding for infrastructure development (like this insulation project) and subsidized programs for vulnerable groups (IDPs, children). Earned Income: Revenue from hostel accommodations (for volunteers, guests, and tourists), paid masterclasses, craft product sales, and fees from organized group visits and corporate events. These funds are reinvested into maintaining the space and running free community programs.

We are currently participating in a grant competition for 182,000 UAH. We are also running a community crowdfunding campaign aiming to raise an additional 119,000 UAH. This specific project requires 182,000 UAH for materials.
