DeSci Youths is building a central update platform for the DeSci ecosystem (The DeSci notice board) and students communities around impact ecosystems .
This is posed to reinforce our mission to nurture and empower the next generation of citizen scientists, particularly in the global south ,by introducing them to the world of Decentralized Science .
We are on a mission to nurture and empower the next generation of citizen scientists around movements of social good.
Scientific brain drain is a pressing issue in many regions, particularly in the global south. Talented young scientists often leave their home countries in search of better opportunities elsewhere, leading to a loss of valuable talent and expertise.
Additionally, the attention economy poses a threat to meaningful engagement with scientific research, as people are constantly bombarded with distractions and shallow content. We need to address these challenges by providing a platform for young scientists to connect with impactful projects and foster a sense of community.
By onboarding young scientists into Decentralized Science, we will empower them to contribute to cutting-edge research and innovation within their own communities. Through our platform, they will discover, connect with, and support impactful projects that leverage web3 technologies for good.
By building our community on Discord, we have created a space for healing and bonding around these projects.
Campus tours in African universities will raise awareness about DeSci and inspire students to ground their passion in science and technology through a proposed student SubDAOs model.
