This Project is a governance campaign designed to bring life back to the Lisk DAO, with more members starting and contributing to topics on the Lisk forum, voting on proposals and encouraging new members to lock up LSK for extended periods in order to gain voting rights and contribute their quota towards driving the Lisk project in the right direction, benefiting both the community, token holders and even the OP Superchain by extension.

Rejuvenating the Lisk DAO is very crucial for the success of the Lisk project and its initiatives within the Optimism Superchain ecosystem for many reasons including but not limited to;

1. Maintaining a positive community energy post-airdrop
2. Truly democratising decision making within the DAO
3. Increasing TVL through increased LSK staking on Portal.lisk
4. Encouraging active DAO participation ahead of the “Burn 100M LSK” voting period
5. Renewed hope in Lisk, its team and its vision.

1. Bring back passive DAO members to Forum Creating engaging user generated content on governance and voting
2. Capture community feedback through discussions and polls Engaging the Lisk Team and other key stakeholders
3. Establish an onboarding structure for new members
4. Encourage $lsk staking and governance through a fun and exciting DAO Quest
5. Make the Lisk DAO attractive for new community members Promoting LSK staking and vpLSK delegation.

There is a declining interest in DAO governance due to very little decentralization, communication and inclusion.

The season1 airdrop did more harm than good. Community feedback on discord and X are terrible. Diamond hands are losing faith in the projects and the last thing we want new users to see is a dysfunctional DAO.

A properly executed campaign will bring life back to the Lisk DAO, with more members starting and contributing to topics on the Lisk forum, voting on proposals and encouraging new members to lock up LSK for extended periods in order to gain voting rights and contribute their quota towards driving the Lisk project in the right direction, benefiting both the community, token holders and even the OP Superchain by extension.

The DAO Rejuvenation Project will focus on four (4) main strategies:

Communication: Through curated video content, infographics, threads and spaces on X, Discussions in the Lisk forum, discord and telegram channels we will bring the community back into the conversation.

Decentralising the DAO: the Lisk DAO is as centralised as it gets, with the team controlling over 30% of the voting power (Directly and by proxy) and more than 50% of any given quorum. A quick look at the voting pattern on Tally makes this more evident.

Boost Engagement: While working closely with the Lisk team, the DAO and some of the most active (Time tested) community members, this project will introduce topics that actually spark conversations and engagement.

Boost Staking and Delegation: Currently, there is no excitement around governance participation. We will introduce an exiting gamified zealy campaign - "The DAO Quest" - to encourage active participation. This will also encourage new members to stake and delegate, thus increasing TVL.
