The two founders Florian Glatz (CEO) and Jan Hangebrauck (CTO) met in 2020 and founded Common Ground in early 2022. Florian is a lawyer and software developer who has been working full-time in crypto since 2014, initially as a developer in the Bitcoin and Ethereum community, later on as a legal advisor to significant protocols and DAOs. Jan is a theoretical computer scientist who has worked as a full-stack developer in web, ML/AI and micro-controllers for 20+ years and who taught himself smart contract development from 2019 onwards. Tobias Hertkorn worked as a premier field engineer at Microsoft before founding his own software development agency. Gustavo and Gabriel are senior web developers with a passion for scalable architecture. Our product designer Dominic is a trained architect who converted to digital product design 5 years ago. He’s worked for clients such as Siemens, Mercedes and Motius.</p><p><br></p><h2>What's success look like</h2><p>Common Ground succeeds when our communities succeed. We want to build a collaborative community hyperstructure that empowers new forms of cooperation within and across communities and ecosystems.</p><p>Common Ground is set up as a cooperative that is owned by its ecosystems, communities and users. In five years we envision Common Ground to have completed its transition to community ownership. The platform will generate significant monthly recurring revenues, the investment and distribution of which will be fully governed by its users. We believe we have developed a unique ownership structure that will show the way for many internet platforms on how to become aligned with the interests of its users and operate in a financially sustainable manner.</p><p><br></p><h2>What value does your project bring to the ecosystem</h2><p>We want to bring a new level of connectivity, communication and collaboration to blockchain ecosystems. By supporting over 16 L1 and L2 blockchains already in the Common Ground desktop & mobile app, all the projects joining Common Ground have a shared place to build, talk and grow together. With the option of a dedicated ecosystem on Common Ground, any chain or other ecosystem-like organisations can foster even more collaboration across all their communities by offering a dedicated home to its builders and users under their own brand.</p>
