Cal-AgentKit is open-source economic infrastructure for autonomous AI agents on Celo. It provides the eight layers agents need to operate as accountable participants in a multi-agent economy: identity, reputation, payments, governance, discovery, coordination, memory, and audit — all on-chain.

Cal-AgentKit makes Celo the default economic layer for autonomous AI agents. We provide the open-source infrastructure — identity, reputation, payments, governance, discovery, coordination, memory, and audit — so builders can ship governed, verifiable multi-agent systems on Celo without rebuilding primitives from scratch. Every agent built with Cal-AgentKit generates Celo transactions. More agents, more Celo activity.

AI agents today have no economic infrastructure. They can think and act, but they can't prove who they are, pay each other, enforce spending limits, build reputation, or produce verifiable proof of work at least not without every team rebuilding these primitives from scratch.
This means:

• No identity — Agents can't be distinguished from each other on-chain. There's no registry, no reputation, no way to verify "this
  agent is who it claims to be."
• No payments — Agent-to-agent micropayments require custom integrations every time. There's no standard protocol for an agent to
  pay another agent for a service and settle on-chain.
• No governance — Agents operate without guardrails. No spend caps, no session limits, no human approval gates. One misbehaving
  agent can drain a wallet with no policy enforcement.
• No accountability — Agent runs produce no verifiable output. There's no receipt, no hash chain, no on-chain attestation. You
  can't prove what an agent did, what it spent, or whether its output is trustworthy.
• No memory — Agents are stateless between runs. Every task starts from zero context. There's no way for agents to learn from past
  runs or build compounding knowledge.

Every team building agents on Celo today must solve all of these problems independently — or ship without them and accept the risk. Cal-AgentKit solves this once, open-source, so builders can focus on agent logic instead of infrastructure. One npm install gives you identity, reputation, payments, governance, discovery, coordination, memory, and audit — all settling on Celo mainnet.

Cal-AgentKit is a complete economic infrastructure SDK for AI agents on Celo. One package (npm install @calebux/agent-kit) gives
any agent builder eight production-ready infrastructure layers:

1. Identity — AegisCeloRegistry on Celo mainnet registers agents with manifest hashes, metadata, and ERC-8004 NFT-based identity.
   Agents become verifiable on-chain citizens.
2. Reputation — Trust scores update after every pipeline run. Success adds reputation, failure subtracts. Other agents route tasks
   by reputation tier — no trust assumption needed.
3. Payments — x402 micropayments in cUSD on Celo. payAndFetch() handles the full flow: probe endpoint, detect 402, submit payment,
   retry with proof. Agent-to-agent settlement in one function call.
4. Governance — AegisCeloPolicy enforces per-agent spend caps and session limits at the contract level. Human approval gates for
   high-value operations. Scoped, time-limited credentials.
5. Discovery — Machine-readable agent manifests with capability, payment, and policy metadata. AgentRouter finds the best agent
   for any task, ranked by trust score. Federated discovery across instances.
6. Coordination — createOrchestrator() decomposes tasks, provisions wallets, runs agents in parallel, and synthesizes results.
   Delegation with linked receipt chains. On-chain consensus voting.
7. Memory — Persistent knowledge graph via gBrain MCP integration. Agents recall past runs, store learned patterns, and build
   compounding context. Every run automatically stores results for future recall.
8. Audit — Every agent run produces a calagent.receipt.v1 — SHA-256 task hash, output hash, Ed25519 signature, payment tx hashes,
   policy contract references. Fully verifiable, fully on-chain.

All of this is open-source, modular (use one layer or all eight), and settles on Celo mainnet. Builders write agent logic — we
handle everything else.
