Anticapture is an open governance security framework and monitoring platform focused on preventing DAO governance attacks before they happen.
The project monitors governance systems across Ethereum, analyzing delegation dynamics, proposal mechanics, concentration risks, governance parameters, and behavioral patterns to identify vulnerabilities that traditional smart contract audits do not capture.
Anticapture transforms governance into a measurable security surface through public dashboards, governance alerts, stage-based maturity assessments, and independent calldata review.
Anticapture’s mission is to make governance security easy to adopt and analyze. Built by Blockful, it turns unknown governance risks into monitored indicators, helping DAOs understand where they are exposed and what needs attention. The goal is to give protocols, delegates, and ecosystem stewards clear step-by-step roadmaps to evolve from fragile governance structures into safer, more resilient systems.
DAO governance is a security surface with a fast-changing economic layer, but it still does not receive the same attention, monitoring, or standard practices as smart contract security. Over the years, governance attacks have taken more than $400M from crypto protocols, yet many DAOs still rely on static assumptions about voting power, token liquidity, quorum, delegation, and emergency response.
Capture risk changes quickly in crypto. Token prices move, liquidity appears or disappears, borrowing markets shift, voter participation fluctuates, and delegation can concentrate silently. A governance system that looked safe months ago can become vulnerable after market changes or governance activity changes, but most DAOs do not have continuous ways to detect that shift before an attack happens.
Anticapture provides a continuous governance security layer for DAOs. It monitors the conditions that make capture possible, including voting power distribution, delegation patterns, proposal parameters, token liquidity, market exposure, quorum dynamics, and protocol value at risk. By combining public dashboards, alerts, research, and maturity assessments, Anticapture helps DAOs detect when their governance assumptions are becoming unsafe and prioritize practical hardening measures before risk turns into an incident.
We propose the service of integration and monitoring for DAOs, as well as services to help improve their governance. Out of 11 DAOs currently integrated, 8 never paid, 2 paid initial integration, and 1 pays long term for our services as governance security providers.
