Similar trends can be found in some other parts of Africa like Nigeria & Egypt because they are cheaper than taxis and safer than the motor-bikes and this has made a lot of people gravitate towards them. In Ghana & Nigeria alone sources close to major importers from the likes of TVS/Bajaj disclose sales of about 15,000 & 100,000 units of 3-wheelers sold annually, making the West African market alone estimated to be worth at least 300M - 1.5B yearly, with rising demand for 3-wheelers skyrocketing it's market value, it is now more difficult for drivers, who are mostly between the ages of 18-30 to afford one.
